Minecraft Redstone: Summer Term – live on Zoom

We run robotics and coding classes, camps and clubs in the UK, for children aged 7 and above. Our goal at Code Kids is to make computer science hands-on, fun, relevant and educational.

Learn about electricity, circuits and electronics using Minecraft Redstone! Redstone components like levers are just like switches on real-world devices and redstone dust is laid down in the game like electrical wiring.

Discover how to use Redstone to create virtual logic gates, resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, and sensors. Use these along with other components like pistons to build amazing mechanisms and self moving machines!

All of our courses must be booked in advance.

Roblox Coding: Summer Term – live on Zoom

We run robotics and coding classes, camps and clubs in the UK, for children aged 7 and above. Our goal at Code Kids is to make computer science hands-on, fun, relevant and educational.

This course is designed for late primary to secondary aged students who are looking to learn to code using a proper “grown-up” programming language. All of our courses must be booked in advance.

Learn to code using your favourite gaming platform and develop fun Roblox games. Our Lua based code editor is particularly suitable for this age group because it is really easy to use and can be built up to more text-heavy coding once you get comfortable with the basics.

This Summer Term Class is a great introduction to both fundamental programming concepts and the Lua programming language. Lua is widely used as a scripting language by game developers across the world.

By the end of the course, the students will be comfortable programming and creating Roblox games and will have published at least one game on to Roblox, which could end up helping them make lots of Robux!

You can find out more on the event page.

Date: Fridays until Friday 3rd July
(during half term break there will be no sessions: Monday 25th May to Sunday 31st May).
Times: 6:45pm to 7:45pm

The Big Gay Sing Along – live on Zoom

Sing – Sing and dance – Just dance – Have a drink and listen to the music!

As we find ourselves in the midst of self-isolation, the Big Gay Sing Along is now online and free! I want to reach out and provide a free weekly singalong session, making it available to everyone. We’re all trapped in our homes and worried about the current situation. Singing is great for improving mental health and wellbeing! Let’s get lost for one hour in music, crack open a bottle and sing from the top of our lungs!

We’ll start off with a vocal warm-up, then straight to singing.

Lyrics will appear on your screen and music will be played directly to your computer / phone or tablet. You’ll be able to see, but not hear each other (latency doesn’t allow voices to be synced in perfect time). You can keep your camera on or turn it off, it’s completely up to you.

The Big Gay Sing Along Online will be held on Zoom: it’s free to download, safe and used by many businesses world wide. All informant on how to download Zoom can be found when you click to register your free place.

The Big Gay Sing Along is being hosted by Sing The Easy Way.

Date: every Friday evening
Time: 8:00pm to 9:00pm
