Past event – Singing for the Brain – live on Facebook

We know these are tough times, and singing can improve brain activity, wellbeing and mood!

That’s why we’re putting on a national virtual ‘Singing for the Brain’ singalong on Thursday 30th April at 3pm on Facebook Live. (We’ll be joined by Alzheimer’s Society Ambassador, and TV star, Vicky McClure).

Alzheimer’s Society’s Singing for the Brain brings people affected by dementia together to sing a variety of the songs they know and love, in a fun and friendly environment.

Normally Singing for the Brain groups meet in person, but during coronavirus they’ve moved online, still hosted by our skilled, compassionate group leaders.

The theme is ‘classic hits’, so get ready to belt out some classics, from Frank Sinatra to The Beatles, plus many more.

If you love to sing, prefer to listen or simply move to the rhythm, our singalong is a great way to let your hair down and feel more positive.

Everyone is welcome, so please share this event with anyone affected by dementia who you think would like to join in!

We’ll share the livestream with this event page‘s attendees on the day – so please click ‘Going’ to make sure you get notified.

If you enjoy the event and you’d like to help us keep running our vital services for families affected by dementia, we’d be incredibly grateful if you’d consider making a donation to our cause.

Date: Thursday 30th April
