Shooting the stars – Join Olympus Mentor Tom Ormerod as he presents a fascinating insight into Astrophotography with a webinar that’s going to be simply out of this world!

Tom will be covering everything from planning your shoots, to shooting in the field and editing your shots. He will touch on the best times of year to shoot the Milky Way and discuss Star Trail shooting for maximum effect.

He will also take you through his editing workflow, demonstrating the results that can be achieved with a single shot vs. a stacked milky way series. He will also be presenting several of his favourite images and explain the settings and equipment behind each image.

After the talk there will be the opportunity for ‘live’ questions from the audience (so come prepared!). These could be in response to the presentation or anything else Astro or Landscape photography related.

Online Light Painting Workshop with Michelle Essenson & The RPS – live on Zoom

Explore the wonderful world of light-painting and learn how to create beautiful and unique images for yourself in a virtual workshop with Michelle Essenson!

This workshop consists of two half-day zoom sessions and a two-week practise period. The practise period includes small-group mini-zooms tailored to specific participant needs, and additional tutor access via email. This gives every participant the opportunity to develop their own skills and personal style to produce interesting and unique images. The workshop is suitable for people with any level of photography experience, who would like to explore light painting.

The course is run over two days, as detailed below:

Day 1: Saturday 9th January 13:30 – 17:00 GMT
Day 2: Saturday 23rd January 14:00 – 17:00 GMT
